Do you offer “deals” to attend these events?   No – we have found that the cost of the event insures that people attend who have the where withal to create more opportunities for themselves and others.   We have priced this event so it costs less than what most people spend taking a prospective client to lunch.   We have found that people who cannot afford this typically are not the best at creating opportunities for themselves or others as well.  We want to make sure that we get the “right” people in the room meeting each other.  The fee we charge insures that happens.

Can I bring a group of people with me?   Yes, however we do request that you sit at tables with new people. The magic of Cheetah Networking happens when you can make as many random new connections as possible.

How did you come up with the idea for “Cheetah Networking?”   In 2004, the founder of Cheetah Learning, Michelle LaBrosse was attending numerous meetings of project managers and found the networking hour before the formal meeting started was a total waste of time.   People did not know how to get to know each other and those going to try to generate business were extremely boorish with their 30 second elevator pitches, without even knowing if the other person had a need for their services.   She had recently completed a book called Cheetah Negotiations where the main premise is that to get what you want, fast, you have to help other people get what they want, FAST.   The Project Management chapters let her test out her Cheetah Networking idea where she had the members talk about what they needed, FIRST, and then let the other participants figure out how their unique skills could help the others fulfill their needs.   What emerged was Cheetah Networking – as we found out that every month, people’s needs changed and were far easier for the other members to generate business and opportunities with each other when they understood first what each other needed, at the time.

Can I attend a Cheetah Networking event more than once?  Yes, we encourage people to attend as frequently as they would like.  We just ask that each time you come, you sit at a table with different people so that you can make more connections.

How many people do you get at a Cheetah Networking event?   We have hosted events for groups as large as 250 people and for as small 40 people.   The event is set up so people are divided into a “cohort” that is four groups of six to ten people in each group.   We can set up as many “cohorts” as needed based on the overall number of people at the event.   Each “cohort” gets to know what everyone else in their “cohort” needs and has the opportunity to meet the folks in their “cohort” who have needs that fit with their capabilities.

Can I make money attending a Cheetah Networking Event?  Really it is up to you how you create opportunities with the people that you meet at these events.   Sometimes you’ll make immediate business, other times you’ll make relationships that will lead to more long term business success.  The more you can help other people succeed, the more success you will have.  The purpose of Cheetah Networking is to increase your chances of creating successful business relationships by meeting other like minded, success oriented people you can help.

Can I host my own Cheetah Networking event?  Yes – please contact us at 888-659-2013.

How Long is a  Cheetah Networking Event?   We schedule the events for two hours.  You spend a half hour getting settled, meeting  people at your table, and having a bite to eat.  You spend thirty minutes getting to know what others need in your cohort.  You spend the last half hour meeting people who need something that you can help them get.

How do I register for this events?   All registrations are done online by credit card.   Unfortunately we don’t accept checks or cash at the door.   These typically often sell out so if you would like to come at the last minute, check the website and if there seats left, you can register.   You must bring a copy of your receipt for admittance to the event.

If I can’t attend, can I get a refund?   No – unfortunately when we reserve your seat, when the event sells out and you didn’t show up, you prevent someone else from registering.   You do have 48 hours from when you register to cancel your registration, up to two weeks before the event.  If you register less than two weeks before the event, we unfortunately cannot give you a refund.
